  • In July 2012 Aspect Security began working with Shari and her team at Anchor Staffing in order to fill an administrative position. From the beginning Shari took the time to get to know Aspect as a company. She visited our offices in Columbia, MD and spent an hour or more interviewing me on the company. I have worked with other staffing firms in the past and none of them have taken the time to learn more about the company. Most firms simply want a job description so they can conduct resume database searches online. After learning about Aspect as a company Shari then asked about the actual job. She asked questions well beyond the job description such as who the candidate would be reporting to, what our ideal candidate was etc. I felt that by the time Shari and I were done talking she had an excellent grasp of what I was looking for. This turned out to be true! Within two days Anchor Staffing presented three very qualified candidates for us to interview. All the candidates were fully informed about Aspect and the position. All three of the candidates that were presented to Aspect from Anchor were well received by the interview team and we had a difficult time choosing the right person. We did eventually make a choice and that candidate has now been hired to a full time position with our company.

    The best thing I can say about Anchor Staffing is that they get to know their candidates and their clients in a way that no other firm I have worked with has done. I feel that I have a friend in Shari. Unlike other firms I feel supported by Anchor and not just a number to them. I am not bombarded with sales calls from Anchor but I know that they are there when I need them and will deliver. I think their work speaks for them. I will never work with another staffing firm!

Roger Needham-President

In 1994, Mr. Needham graduated from The University of Georgia with a B.A in Marketing and on the day he graduated he was offered a position in the staffing industry. It’s safe to say that he found his calling because he has remained in staffing ever since. For nine years Roger worked for Aerotek quickly advancing into various roles and honing his skills. After a successful tenure with Aerotek, Roger went on to become the Vice President of Southeast operations for Adecco and later worked as a Regional Manager for Nesco Resource. In March of 2005, Roger had a vision for what staffing could be. So he took his collected experience and a few of his most talented employees from his past and started Anchor Staffing and Anchor Technical Services. After sixteen years, Roger realized that the most important key to success was a talented workforce and a focus on customer service. By employing only the highest caliber salespeople and recruiters, the company has grown from three employees to thirty.

Roger resides in the Crofton area and is a fishing, hunting and golfing enthusiast.

John Wright – Vice President

John brings nineteen years of extensive experience in staffing to the team at Anchor Staffing, Inc. He has held various positions that increased his expertise and knowledge in the staffing industry before joining Anchor Staffing, Inc. John started his career in 1996 with Aerotek in Maryland. There he learned recruiting and later moved into a sales role, specializing in the Light Industrial and Administrative division. After his tenure at Aerotek, John moved to Texas and accepted a position with Nesco Resource as Area Manager. There he was based in Dallas and was responsible for sales growth throughout the state. He quickly turned around under-performing offices by bringing an aggressive nature and implementing successful processes learned early in his career.

In 2006 John returned to Maryland and joined Anchor Staffing, Inc. as Vice President. In this role, John is responsible for sales growth, profitability, and recruiter development.

In his personal life, John resides in Hanover, Maryland. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing golf, tennis and enjoys traveling. Reading books is a passion that John uses to relax and continually expand his business knowledge.
