Anchor Staffing focuses on “temp to hire” and “direct placement” positions such as: manufacturing, distribution, electronics, fabrication, accounting, clerical, skilled trades and much more. What separates us from most of our competition is our screening of applicants. This area of our service is the most important link to our success at Anchor Staffing and we treat it accordingly. Like most staffing companies, we phone screen and personally interview all of our candidates. During the personal interview, we follow a checklist to decide whether or not we will place them with our client. Some of these items include making sure they arrive to their interview on time, communicate well, demonstrate that they have reliable transportation, and conduct themselves in a manner that is presentable and professional.

What we feel truly separates us from our competitors in the department of screening, however, are the steps we take beyond the phone and personal interviews. These are made up of three main components: First, we conduct a drug test on every person we put to work. This is a policy we have instituted at Anchor Staffing regardless of client request. Second, we conduct a seven year criminal background check on every employee we place through our firm. Third – and possibly the most important thing we do to ensure quality people – is to conduct reference checks on every candidate we place. These reference checks are not just to verify employment. We speak with prior supervisors to verify a candidate’s attitude, ability to get along with others, ability to follow direction, ability to work independently, attendance records, as well as verifying skills. We can provide references on any Anchor Staffing employee upon request at any time.

Anchor Staffing’s approach when partnering with any client is very sound and organized. We have access to Monster, Careerbuilder and WorkPhilly. We also have relationships with Workforce Organizations, advertise, and obtain referrals from our current employees. We offer comprehension/ mathematical testing and have the ability to design any test specifically tailored to meet your company’s needs. We reference check every candidate in detail. We offer drug screening and criminal background checks. Although we pull from the same labor pool as other agencies, our approach sets us apart. Our success is driven by screening multiple candidates for each open position. We achieve this by working non traditional business hours. We never leave at 5:00pm. Our recruiting staff works well into the evening and our Account Management team is available twenty-four hours a day. These practices produce quality candidates, increase turn around time, and reduce turnover. At Anchor Staffing we have a strong sense of urgency and truly understand the importance of a supplemental workforce. When we achieve our goal, our clients improve productivity and increase profit. Unlike many other firms in our industry, Anchor Staffing does not have any restrictive policies, procedures, or ways of doing business that we must follow.
